A look back at summer 2010

I know I have not been blogging alot this summer, but we have been sooo busy. My new job keeps me busy busy Tuesday through Friday, but it leaves me a three day weekend to play with my family :) So this summer started off with a last minute trip to my grandparents house in South Carolina. I learned a few days before that my office would be closed the Friday before Memorial day giving me a 4 day weekend. So I threw everything together and after work on Thursday night I picked up the kids and we made the 8 1/2 hour drive. The kids slept pretty well as I drove all night. It was a quick trip, but a super fun one and we managed to see all the family. Meeting the cousins

We even watched the local crops get dusted from our front porch

We took a trip to the Natural Bridge Sate Park in KY

After our hike and some lunch we drove another hour to show the kids where we lived in college and the campus.
Then Hubby and I took a trip to mammoth cave and hiked and caved for about 5 hours. It was so awesome, but sorry no pics as we didn't want to be weighted down with a camera.
We also hiked at the local Nature Center this year too.
We even got in so time to play tennis.
Our daughter had her 4H cookout at Rocky Fork Lake and we all had a great time swimming.
It was the kids first time to the beach and our son was convinced it must be the ocean. Again sorry no pics.
It has been a wonderful summer, but all good things must come to an end, the kids started back to school this week, but I'm sure our weekends will still be busy.
