Dogs gone but not forgotten

This is Titan he was our 3rd dog. He was the clown of the bunch and always made us laugh. His nick name became the goon. Anyway it has been one year ago today since he passed away at age 10. He died of hemangiosarcoma., a type of cancer that affects the circulatory system and related organs. We saw little changes in him over the last 6 months but chalked it up to old age. Then 2 weeks prior he became very ill. We kept him going through the holidays with lots of prednisone and antibiotics, which was our wish for him. This photo was taken a week before his death you can tell how bad he feels and how tired he is. He was only used once at stud service but he produced a dysplastic puppy and since we were new to breeding and didn't fully understand the genetics behind dysplasia we decided to neuter him and make him a pet. Besides he wasn't quite breed quality but we loved him anyway. A great pet he was! Titan thanks for all the laughs here's to you boy!
This day is also the 18th anniversary of the death of the legendary guitar player Steve Clark. Our dog couldn't have picked a better day to go. Here's to you both keep on rock n!

Ahhh, sweet Titan. I loved him, but he did everything he could to avoid me. He knew better than to come too close to the vet! He was a good old boy. I know how much you miss him.
